A New Care Home for West Sussex that blends traditional and contemporary

Cowan Architects has been selected for the adaptation of an existing Grade II listed building in Selsey, West Sussex into the Bill House Care Home.

The building’s façades are painted pebble-dash with exposed stone dressings and is Grade II listed for its special architectural and historic interest.

The sea-facing southern elevation knapped flint chequer design and the tower is exposed timber framing. The Cowan Architects’ proposal picks up on this theme and employs traditional materials and craftsmanship to deliver a subtle blend of traditional and contemporary architectural design.
