Gary is a Legal Advisor at Cowan Architects and has previously practiced as a Solicitor in the fields of Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Product Liability. Gary is a dual Qualified Solicitor (South Africa/England & Wales).

His legal experience spans over 20 years and during that time, he has worked with a number of notable UK Firms. He has previously managed the South African Office of a leading Hampshire Law Firm and has also acted a Legal Consultant to some of South Africa’s leading Business Process Outsourcing Companies.

Gary has extensive experience within Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence and is extremely familiar with the Litigation Process and prevailing Protocols.


Gary completed his traineeship at a notable South African Firm, Shepstone & Wylie, before relocating to the United Kingdom and joining a leading Hampshire Firm, Lamb Brooks LLP. He practiced within the personal injury department for a period of 3 years before returning to South Africa where he managed the overseas office of the Firm for the next 12 years. Before starting at Cowan Architects, Gary worked as part of a team on a Top 20 (The Lawyer) Product Liability Case and a number of select cases involving professional and clinical negligence.
