Simon Duffy has over 15 years’ experience in the Health sector. He has come from a commercial practice where he has led the design on GP Surgeries, Primary Health Care Centres, residential homes, specialist accommodation for people with autism and Neighbourhood Resource Centres for adults with learning difficulties.

Recently, Simon has also been involved with the new GP Commissioning Board in Bracknell. He was instrumental in successfully pioneering the design of one of the first buildings being commissioned through the PCT structure prior to the abolition of PCTs in April 2013.

His work across a wide spectrum of physical and learning difficulties give him a good insight into claimants’ needs.


Simon has worked in private practice on a diverse range of projects for over 20 years including hi-tech industrial, office, residential, barn and shop conversions and also refurbishment projects across the country. For 15 years he specialised in the health sector with GP surgeries, primary health care and neighbourhood resource centres for people with severe learning difficulties and Autism.

Simon has won awards for his work in the health care sector.

Simon is an experienced Architect having worked with a variety of contractors using a number of different building procurement routes including:

• Local Improvement Finance Trusts (LIFT)
• Third party development (3PD)
• Private ownership working alongside PCTs, local authorities and GPs.

Simon has project managed the design and construction of primary health care, office, and industrial buildings as well as the adaptation of residential properties for people with severe disabilities. He has managed projects using minor works and JCT contracts and is a member of the Expert Witness Institute having successfully completed the Cardiff University Law School Bond Solon Civil Expert Certificate.
