Cowan Associate Director participates in key futurebuild webinar on Retrofit Gamechangers

Mark Elton, Associate Director at Cowan Architects, was one of three ‘gurus from retrofit’ that made up a panel for a key futurebuild webinar on Retrofit Game Changers. It was the most well attended webinar with nearly 800 attendees at the live event and many more expected to take advantage of it being available on-demand.

In addition to taking questions, Mark focused on the need for good technology in the right insulation as a key performance factor using high-rise towers and heritage buildings as examples. He also highlighted the often overlooked requirement of insulation to ground level as being a problem area with ideas of new technologies and innovations that were helping to make this easier to remedy.

In preparation for futurebuild 2021 in March, Mark has contributed an opinion piece on the essential future for retrofit to the futurebuild website.
