Part 1 Architectural Assistant

Omar joined Cowan Architects in July 2025 as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant, having completed his Bachelors of Architecture at the University of Nottingham. He is motivated to build on his academic foundation through practice-based experience and to contribute to the delivery of thoughtful, well-resolved architectural work.

At Cowan Architects, Omar supports the design team across a range of residential, remediation and planning-led projects. His role spans multiple RIBA stages, contributing to design development, drawing production and planning support while gaining experience of practice workflows and coordinated project delivery.

Through both his academic studies and professional experience, Omar has developed a particular interest in housing, regeneration and adaptive reuse. His work explores how architecture can respond sensitively to existing contexts while delivering long-term social and environmental value, with a focus on clarity, rigour and considered design development.
