Dover District Council have given the green light to the new VIP control centre and pits for Lydden Hill Race Circuit.
Included in the approved proposals, is the demolition of the existing Circuit Offices and the erection of a replacement building which will provide a VIP Centre, Circuit Offices, Medical Centre and Pit Garages for use at events.
Lydden Hill Race Circuit is an historic motor sport venue which has been operating for about 60 years. The design was conceived to celebrate Lydden Hill’s strong links with post-war heritage and the vintage racing events which are unique to the circuit.
Earlier work for Lydden Hill Race Circuit provided a masterplan for a series of new buildings for the public, competitors, management and officials, beginning with a new race start building.
The design was conceived to celebrate references to the strong links with the era which reflects and echo’s post war heritage + vintage racing events unique to the circuit.
A family of new circuit buildings have also been designed and conceived to regenerate this historic race venue.
