Restoring the Sparkle to The Lemonade Building
The Lemonade building in Barking is a 17-storey residential block of 136 apartments, each with a large, sheltered balcony positioned around a centralised core. The building had recently been deemed unsafe for its use of combustible materials in the building’s envelope cavity.
Cowan Architects has been appointed to assess the risks and implement a remediation strategy along with a specification of fire safe materials to replace the existing cladding and core materials.
