Works Continue on East Grinstead Phoenix House Site

As works complete on the conversion of the disused office block into 24 flats, Cowan Architects has secured Planning Permission for further extensions into the attic and to the west side of the building. This will consist of 2 two-bedroom flats in the attic space of the building, and 2 two-bedroom town houses on the western end of Phoenix House.

In conjunction with this, Cowan Architects has designed and submitted a Planning Application for a scheme of 12 new flats situated in the unused carpark space of Phoenix House.

The building is designed to reflect the sloping topography of the site by dropping the roof line of the scheme from East to West. Due to the nature of the site, the flats are organised so that the bedrooms and principal living spaces are orientated to face Phoenix House as to avoid overlooking neighbouring properties.
